Munster’s crucial Round 6 Champions Cup clash against Exeter Chiefs at Thomond Park takes place this Saturday, January 19, at 5.30pm with the game completely sold-out weeks in advance of the fixture.

With extra seating installed at either end of the ground to boost the capacity, an attendance of 26,267 will attend the fixture.

Gates open at 3.30pm.

Tickets

Tickets for this game are completely sold out so there will be no sales service available on match day and therefore the main ticket office will not open.

Our mobile ticket unit will be open for collections from 3.30pm until 6pm and is located on the East as you approach the stadium from Cratloe Road.

Pre- Match & Half -Time Entertainment

We welcome back the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir to Thomond Park to perform in front of the home crowd. The will also have pop up performances at the back of the West Stand and also in the Fanzone on the day. They will then be joined by Limerick Soloist Jean Wallace for Stand Up and Fight just before kick-off. The MRSC Guard of Honour will be present to welcome teams onto the pitch and our half-time U12 Girls Mini Exhibition Match will feature Clonakilty RFC vs Killarney RFC. The very popular Dizzy Kicks with thanks to Marks & Spencer will take place on the pitch at half-time with the chance to win tickets to the next home game. If you would like to step up as a Dizzy Kick participants keep an eye on the Munster Rugby and MRSC social media channels for a chance to sign up!

Don’t forget to enter our #ThomondParkSelfie competition for the chance to win return flights for two from Shannon Airport. All you have to do is post a selfie from Thomond Park on match day, and include #ThomondParkSelfie. We will announce the lucky winner at half-time all with thanks to Munster Rugby Airport Partner, Shannon Airport.

We want to see as many red Munster flags as possible in Thomond Park so make sure a grab a free flag from our volunteer flag distributors as you enter the ground and raise your flags and voices behind the team! Big thanks to the MRSC volunteers helping us out with this.

Open from 2.30pm our covered Pavilion in the Fanzone serves as a great pre-match meeting point here in Thomond Park. Meet the players in the Fanzone from 4pm. There will be lots to enjoy in the Fan Zone including the Gaming Zone with GameMachine Ireland in the Bank of Ireland Family Funzone which will be open for our younger supporters offering free 15-minute gaming sessions with thanks to Bank of Ireland. Spin South West Spinnis will be on location and our mascot Oscar is looking forward to meeting our younger supporters too. Don’t forget the Munster Rugby Museum Experience is open from 3.15pm right up to kick-off!

The Munster Rugby Stores will be open at the Stadium from 2.30pm you have a choice of three locations: the main store and mobile unit in the East Stand and the mobile unit at the West Stand.

Gates open at 3.30pm with all bars and food outlets inside the ground open at the same time. Contactless payments are available at all stadium bars and at selected food outlets in Thomond Park.

MRSC Bar

Please note that both the MRSC and 10 year Ticket holder bar will be open from 2pm on Saturday. BT Sport will be hosting the post-match analysis from the MRSC bar and Tiny Giants will also be performing.

We are delighted to welcome some of our peers from the Exeter Supporters Club in the bar and to welcome members of the New York branch of the MRSC.

Please note:

  • No one will be permitted to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink/ water containers on entering the stadium.
  • Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations
  • There will be stewards and security onsite to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.

Buses

302 Public Bus service from Henry Street runs every from 13:30 and has a drop off at Thomond Park.

Travel Note

As this fixture is sold out with a stadium capacity crowd Munster Rugby encourage all supporters travelling to the match to arrive early to the stadium to avoid late arrival delays.
