Update from the Junior Club Captain

Tommy sent a long mail to his loyal Junior Supporters, he is looking forward to a sporting weekend with Munster and Tipperary in action, here is what he had to say:

Hi Junior Members,

I’m just checking in with you all again.

It’s great to be back playing, I’m very happy with how I’m going and I’m looking forward to the season ahead. On a GAA front it’s great to see Tipperary in the All Ireland Final and hopefully now with the replay they’ll win. It’s on the same day as our Ospreys game so I won’t be able to make it up to Dublin myself but hopefully it will be a successful day on both fronts.

I’m trying to go back to college also this year so I’ve just been accepted on to a satellite course in NUIG. I have a degree in Sports Science from UL already and now I am going to pursue a degree in Science & Technology studies. It’s always a challenge balancing rugby & study life but I think it will be beneficial for me in the long-term and I’m looking forward to getting started.

We were are away to Treviso last weekend and it was a long trip but getting the result for the first time out there in three years was very good. Andrew Smith and Robin Copeland had to sing at the top of the bus after the game as the new players and Smithy (Andrew Smith) won the crowd over by singing Queen’s We Will Rock You!

We’re back in Ireland for the next few weeks with three out of four games in Thomond Park so hopefully we’ll get to see you there – make sure to check out the new Family Fun Zone as a few of us head there before the game & we can meet you for a few photos & autographs!
