Ultan was the lucky winner of one of our recent email competitions and got the opportunity to be the match day mascot for Munster v Glasgow in Cork. He tells us about his experience below.

"When I came home from school my dad told me the news that I had been selected to be the Munster mascot but I didn't believe him as I thought it was a joke but he showed me the email and I couldn't believe my luck!

I was so excited and very nervous all week waiting for the match. On the day my brother and sister stayed at home and got to see me on T.V. When me, mum and dad got to the stadium we met Shauna and she gave me my jersey, shorts and socks that I got to bring home & keep.

I got a tour of the dressing room with my mum, I felt the cold ice baths, saw all the players jerseys hanging up, looked at what they eat and drink in the dressing room and my mum took lots of photos.

When it was time to run out onto the pitch I met the captain Billy Holland, we held hands and the crowd started to roar. I felt so so lucky to be running out with the team!

I play football for Kilmurry but it would be a dream come true to play rugby for Munster, it was the best day of my life so far. Thank you so so much to everyone that made my dream come true."
