WATCH: Easter Egg and Spoon Race and Open Training Session

A sold out event, this season’s Easter Open Training Session as part of our #MunsterFamilyWeek was a roaring success with 6 lucky Junior Members also getting to take part in a fun Egg and Spoon race with the players.

Getting an exclusive behind the scenes look at how the squad prepare in competitive weeks such as this, the 2,000 strong crowd got to see a full training session for the Munster team as the players went through their warm up, conditioning, rugby drills and post session cool down.

Once completed, the players met with fans who lined up three to four deep along the West Stand, North Terrace and South Terrace. Autographs and selfies were the order of the day and players spent just shy of two hours meeting fans – young and old – thanking them for their incredible support this season.

Also, as is fast becoming tradition at the Easter Open Training Session, MRSC Junior members joined players in an Egg and Spoon race. The lucky winners were:

Moya Bowdren
Sam Cusack
Odhran Burke
Orla Leamy O'Donovan
Oisin Amos
Isaac Mullins

Who were split into three teams which lined out as follows:

Team 1: Player: Jack O’Donoghue MRSC Junior Members: Moya Bowdren and Sam Cusack
Team 2: Player: Francis Saili MRSC Junior Members: Oisin Amos and Isaac Mullins
Team 3: Player: Cian Bohane; MRSC Junior Members: Odhran Burke and Orla Leamy O’Donovan

Team 3 emerged the final winners with Odhran and Orla picking up tickets to Funderland and all our competitiors picking up an Easter Egg for their efforts!
