Farewell From David Foley

Junior Club Captain David Foley is off to France to join Top 14 side Pau next Season, he wishes Junior Club members farewell with a letter before he heads off on his new journey. #MunsterFamily

Hi Members,

It’s your Junior Club Captain, Dave Foley here! I hope you are all well and looking forward to your summer holidays! We have all finished up here after an absolute rollercoaster of a season so those of us not involved in the Lions and Ireland Summer Tour are really looking forward to a well-earned few weeks off!

I wanted to send you all a massive thank you for your support over the past year. I know you and your families have been coming to games all season and we really do appreciate you being there and cheering us on from the stands. Although the final was disappointing I think when we look back on the season as a whole we have a lot to be proud of and I know the team will use everything they have learned to come back even stronger!

For me, it’s a new chapter next and an end to my time with Munster Rugby as I move to France this summer to play with Pau in the Top 14. I am really looking forward to the next adventure after a fantastic run with my home club.

I have been trying to work on my French but it’s harder than I thought it would be but hopefully I’ll pick it up when I’m in the thick of it.

As I’m now moving on you will be getting a new Junior Club Captain for next season as I have to reluctantly hand over the mantle to one of my team mates, keep an eye on your emails for news on that over the summer months.

I have really enjoyed my time as Junior Club Captain and it has been a real pleasure meeting some of you over the seasons so thank you again for your support.
