Ronan O’Shea was our very lucky Junior Club member who got the chance to be a Munster Match Day Mascot when he won a competition in a recent e-mail from Junior Club Captain Dave Kilcoyne. He describes his experience below.

"Last Friday night I got to be Mascot for the Munster against Cardiff Blues game. We had a long drive from Newport down to Cork. I was very tired but very excited when we arrived at the stadium. Shauna met us at the gate and brought mum and me in to collect my kit. My mum changed me in the toilets and I was ready to go!

We saw the changing rooms and got to take photos and I found out the players love figrolls just like my grandad Pat! I was getting nervous as the time came to go onto the pitch. We waited in the tunnel and I held my hand out for the captain. Billy Holland took me and Matthew's hands and we ran onto the pitch with the Captain of the team. I could hear the crowd cheering and made me excited and happy. Unfortunately we didn't win but I loved being a Mascot and felt proud to be from Munster."

The Munster Rugby Supporters Club will open in October for renewals and new members – for chances to be Match Day Mascot like Ronan and many more great prizes and benefits make sure you join up for 2017! Details can be found on www.mrsc.ie in the coming weeks.
