The MRSC Gala Junior Christmas Party took place on Sunday afternoon in Thomond Park Stadium where over 350 Junior Supporters Club Members and their guardians got the chance to party with Munster Rugby Players, Munster’s mascot Oscar and of course the man of the moment Santa!

The party kicked off at 1pm when Oscar rang his bell and led Santa Claus himself through the Thomond Suite in his red suit with a greeting for all the children.

A great afternoon was enjoyed by all as the children played games with Spiderman, Iron Man, the Hulk, Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Mickey Mouse and many more of their favourite characters. There were party clowns, tattoo artists, loom band makers and face painters on hand with lots of arts and craft activities along with a DJ who had the party hopping on the dance floor.

All those who attended got the opportunity to meet some of their Munster heroes, getting signed autographs and pictures taken with them.

Players who came to meet the junior members included Ian Keatley, BJ Botha, Keith Earls, CJ Stander, Gerhard Van Den Heever, Conor Murray, Cathal Sheridan, Felix Jones, Dave Foley, Pat Howard, Tommy O'Donnell, Ronan O'Mahony, Duncan Casey and Paul O’Connell who were delighted to meet their younger fans, hear their stories and sign their autographs.

A very enjoyable day was had by all. A special thank you to Wendy Condell at The Parent and Baby Centre @ Delta Sports Dome who supplied the toddler soft play area free of charge, Giggles the Clown and all his friends who put on a great show, Seat, Coca Cola, Mars and Adidas for providing goodies for the goody bags for all 350+ children and guests, Thomond Park for being a superb venue and last but not least the Munster players, the volunteers and the Supporters Club Committee and Staff for giving up their free time to organise and facilitate this fantastic event.
