The Faltering Fullback

Down a leafy back street (Ennis Road) in Finsbury Park you will find the famous Faltering Fullback, Irish owned and run. The Fullback is a mecca for locals and sports fans alike. As you may guess from the name, the pub is big on rugby. The Sin-Bin is the place to be on big match days with an unrivalled atmosphere and top of the range Ultra HD screens showing all the live action. There are weekly trad music and open mic sessions for music lovers, quiz nights to fire the grey matter and the pub sponsors local Gaelic Football and Rugby clubs for those looking for something more energetic. A large selection of beer and wine are served along with tasty Thai food.

The Faltering Fullback – 19 Perth Rd, Stroud Green, London N4 3HB

Skehan’s Freehouse

One of the few remaining independent, family run pubs in South London, Skehans is owned by a family from Limerick and they screen all of Munster games. The pub has a friendly traditional front bar with a pool table and darts and the wood burning stove is always kept burning during the winter months. There is an outdoor smoking area at the front of the pub, a traditional Thai restaurant and a beautiful hidden garden at the back. Skehans is a two minute walk from Nunhead overland station, just look for the big red brick pub with the Munster flag flying outside.
