Behind the Scenes at the MRSC 2 Nov

Welcome to the first of the MRSC monthly catch ups, where your MRSC Committee give you a flavor of the activities and upcoming events for members. Our hope is that over the coming months you can get a view of the current and future plans for our Club.

Welcome to the first of the MRSC monthly catch ups, where your MRSC Committee give you a flavor of the activities and upcoming events for members. Our hope is that over the coming months you can get a view of the current and future plans for our Club.

Bringing a sponsor on board for our Junior Club was an important milestone for us this year, allowing free access to membership for up to five thousand children. This is a very exciting time for us all in the MRSC and we look forward to bringing Munster Rugby and the Supporters Club closer to children of all ages and backgrounds. We would like to thank Inver Service Stations for their kind support of this great initiative. In the background the staff in the office are currently working hard on getting all renewing and new members set up on the system and hope to go out to all with their membership numbers and account access next week.

We have recently reviewed and approved a new contract extension with our member management partner Ticketmaster. This system has afforded us members stability, control and data security and many new benefits including various renewal and ticketing options rolled out this season such as 10% off additional tickets, transferring of tickets to a friend and much more.

We have quite a number of activities coming up over the short term which we are busy working on with the MRSC staff such as:

  • The Munster and Maori All Blacks exclusive Q&A
  • Pre-match brunch for the Leicester Tigers home game in the European Champions Cup
  • Our hugely popular Junior Club Gala Christmas Party
  • Planning a members visit to the High Performance Centre
  • Managing the growing popularity of the free buses to and from games
  • Many other events are in the planning phase so more news to follow.

Want to get involved in the Red Letter?

We wish to broaden the scope of Red Letter to include you, the members that are reading it. We, the Committee, know you all have great stories of being at Munster games both home and away and it would be great to feature these in our newsletter for everyone to share. You can send your account of any of our Munster games so far this season with any accompanying photos to supporterspro@munsterrugby.ie

Did you know?

Up to 60 MRSC members volunteered to aid in the logistics of the Munster v Glasgow European game two weeks ago, with the majority arriving to Thomond at 09:00am to help Munster Rugby prepare some of the touching tributes to Anthony Foley – thank you to those folks for their time and effort.

Should you wish to help out with the MRSC Committee at any upcoming games or events please email supporterspro@munsterrugby.ie with your name, contact details and your general availability.

Snap Competition

Thank you for taking the time to read the first “Behind the Scenes at the MRSC” article – just for you we have a snap competition for this Friday’s game.

Want to present the match ball to the referee at Friday’s game in Irish Independent Park just before kick off? If so please just send your name, membership number and a contact number to supporterspro@munsterrugby.ie to be in the draw.

Looking forward to seeing you at a game or an event in the coming weeks.
