The Grand Final of the MRSC Monster Munster Quiz sponsored by Smithwicks took place in the MRSC Bar last Saturday after Munster v Scarlets in Thomond Park

There was no better way to have begun proceedings for the MRSC Quiz last Saturday than to have followed a bonus point win over Scarlets and the knowledge that Champions Cup rugby was secured. The atmosphere in the MRSC Bar was electric and everyone was in a jovial mood.

The culmination of months of work by the committee and management and of course the participants from each county began with a roof raising cheer as Duncan Casey, Keith Earls, Ian Keatley and Dave Kilcoyne arrived to take their places for the Quiz.

The event itself went very well with the top three teams from each round and the table of players all battling hard to take home some great prizes. Competition was very close but in the end Brian McCarthy, James McCarthy, Mike O’Sullivan and Tom O’Sullivan from Limerick came out the overall winners followed closely by the teams from Kerry, Clare and Waterford.

All agreed it was a very enjoyable event with great fun and banter for the evening. We would like to thank all of our members for their cooperation throughout. As always, a credit to our club. Pictures of the event can be viewed on our Facebook page here.

The MRSC would like to give a special mention to Diageo for their overall sponsorship, Bank of Ireland and Lifestyle for prizes, Masterchefs for complimentary finger food, and Grettals Petals,Shannon and Dennehys Health and Fitness Cork for spot prizes
