Munster are sitting in 2nd place in the Guinness PRO12 as they prepare to take on Benetton Treviso in Round 20 this Saturday afternoon – KO 16:05pm. (Brussels time).
Munster are sitting in 2nd place in the Guinness PRO12 as they prepare to take on Benetton Treviso in Round 20 this Saturday afternoon – KO 16:05pm. (Brussels time).
Munster (on 63 points) are only two points behind Glasgow (65 points) on a very tight PRO12 table. They are on equal points with Ulster (63) and only two points ahead of Ospreys (61), with Leinster and Connacht chasing in 5th and 6th places respectively.
After the Treviso game, Munster will only have two more matches in the league stages, away against Ulster and home to the Dragons, to secure qualification and a possible home semi-final. As a warm-up to Saturday's game, all eyes will be on the Ulster v. Leinster game tomorrow night (20h35 Brussels time).
Treviso, although second from the bottom of the table, can never be taken for granted and have pulled off some strong results during the course of the season – drawing with Leinster in November and beating Cardiff 40-24 in February. Munster will be counting on home advantage in Independent Park in Cork to secure another victory.
Should he feature for Munster against Benetton Treviso this weekend, Tommy O'Donnell will earn his 100th cap for the province.
Munster fans are invited to gather on Saturday in the Old Hack pub, 176 Rue Jospeh II (on the corner of Rue Joseph II and Boulevard Charlemagne, under the Berlaymont building), open from 3pm.
