MRSC London Branch: Buses to Cardiff for Rugby World Cup 2015

The MRSC London Branch are making it easier for members to add their support to Ireland during the RWC 2015 campaign by running the following day return bus services to Cardiff.

Anyone who has been to a game at the Millennium Stadium knows how difficult it can be to get out to/from Cardiff by rail for a rugby match. Before Irelands 6 Nations game a few weeks ago, all trains out of London were packed with people standing with no room for others to board en route. After the recent England v Wales 6 Nations International on a Friday evening, there were an estimated 10,000 fans going back to London the same evening with only one train scheduled.

These kinds of difficulties will be tenfold when there are two away teams as will be the case for the Rugby World Cup. Therefore the London Branch will be organising the following buses for members to make it easier and more enjoyable for travelling fans to support the boys in green.

Sat 8th August vs Wales- Millennium Stadium (2.30pm)
Sat 19th Sept, vs Canada, Millennium Stadium (2.30pm)
Sun 11th Oct, vs France, Millennium Stadium (4.45pm)

*Please note, they will also run a bus to Ireland’s potential quarter final should Ireland qualify from the pool (as group winners Ireland would play Sunday October 18th at 1pm or as group runners-up Ireland would play Saturday 17th October at 8pm, both in the Millennium Stadium).

Timings:

The buses will be scheduled to arrive in Cardiff at least 90 minutes pre-game with the first returns leaving one hour after the game finishes. Departures will be from Central London with a pick-up point in West London.

Price:

The bus price for MRSC members is £30 (€;42) return (non-members £35/€;49), with children half price. Return places can be booked now via the shop items in your MRSC account. Non MRSC members may also book their place by emailing mrsclondon@munsterrugby.ie
