Official Opening of Irish Independent Park

Simon Coveney – TD Minister for Agriculture, Food, the Marine and Defence joined by Munster Rugby Branch President Michael Goggin will officially open Irish Independent Park ahead of the Munster v Glasgow Guinness PRO12 match (kick-off 7.15pm).

Following a €;3.2m redevelopment the stadium first opened its doors at the end of January providing an overall enhanced match-day experience.

The stand includes seating for 3500, changing rooms, a medical room, a press room and hospitality space. The new development now provides a ground capacity of 10,000 including the old East Terrace which is now covered end to end thanks to the contribution from the MRSC.

The supporters’ match-day experience has been enhanced further with the introduction of the Bank of Ireland Family Fun Zone, located inside the Dolphin RFC entrance, providing entertainment for all the family.

Members can purchase tickets online via www.ticketmaster.ie or by calling 0818 719 300. We wish to remind members that a family pack of 2 adults and 2 children U16 costs just €;40 for the Terrace, meaning the children go free. The Red Shed (East Terrace Standing) has now sold out, but tickets are available in the North (Dolphin end) and South (Sundays Well end) Terraces.

Tickets can also be purchased at our Irish Independent Park Ticket Office on Tramore Road any day next week (Monday to Friday) from 9am to 5pm.
