Stadium Information

As you may already know the MRSC Bar has been extended and revamped further over the course of this season. Upgrades are to continue in the coming weeks with the new area soon to have windows fitted. This will connect the venue to the pitch so members will be even better situated to soak up the entire pre-game atmosphere.

At this Friday’s game, you might notice some changes including new televisions with upgrades for our younger members too including a chalkboard wall. Members are encouraged to bring a guest to see the upgraded bar once the guest has a valid match ticket.

The MRSC Bar can be found on the first floor in the West Stand via door 18

The stadium turnstiles will be open from 5.45pm, with all bars inside the ground open at the same time.

Please note that there will be stewards at all gates checking tickets. These stewards may ask for I.D. and they have the right to refuse entry if sufficient I.D. for Junior, Student or O.A.P tickets is not provided.

The Fan Zone Plaza will be open once again from 5pm with the MRSC on hand offering the younger members of the Red Army the chance to sign up to the Junior Club. There will be plenty of competitions and giveaways so make sure you pop in to say hello.

The Guinness Dug Out Bar will be open a little earlier from 5pm, with a live band performing in the Plaza.

There’s lots of activity for all the family – the Bank of Ireland Family Funzone will be open for our younger supporters.  You can try out being Munster’s “Sponsor for a Day” and get your photo taken with your name on the front of the jersey, with the help of Bank of Ireland.

Live 95Fm will be supporting the event, and there will be plenty of choice in terms of food and beverages.  The new Munster Rugby Museum will also be open from 5pm.

Life Style Sports will be helping supporters in the Fanzone Plaza to send your messages of support to the team.  Go visit them in the Fanzone, write your message of support on a board provided, have your photo taken, and the photo will be uploaded onto twitter immediately!

Jean Wallace and The Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir will be preforming pre-match.

The MRSC will also be making a half time presentation to lucky member Eamon Williams who scooped the top Giant Draw Prize of €;10,000 last month.

The Hit Machine drumming group will be welcomed to Thomond Park for the first time, and we’ve been told Oscar is working on something special for the occasion!

At half time Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne and Thomond RFC U11’s take to the field.

Match programmes, costing €;5, will be on sale outside and inside the stadium.

The Munster Rugby Stores will be open at the stadium – the East Stand store open from 5pm, and the Mobile unit outside the West Stand from 5.45pm.

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink containers on entering the stadium.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found here.
