Munster play host to Scarlets in the Guinness PRO12 this Friday in Thomond Park, KO 7.35pm

It’s a big day in Thomond Park, as the Fanzone Plaza outside the East Stand is officially opened at 5.30pm, followed by Hermitage Green.  To celebrate the launch of the new Thomond Park Fan Zone Plaza and the new Munster Rugby Museum all MRSC members will receive free entry into the revamped museum on production of their membership card. Please note that the Munster Rugby Museum is moving to the Family Zone Plaza and will be open from 5:30pm.

The MRSC Bar has been also been extended and revamped further over the course of this season. Upgrades are to continue in the coming weeks with the new area soon to have windows fitted. This will connect the venue to the pitch so members will be even better situated to soak up the entire pre-game atmosphere.

Over the coming weeks we hope to add food options as well as having live music after a selection of games in the MRSC Bar, you might notice some changes for our younger members too including a chalkboard wall. Members are encouraged to bring a guest to see the upgraded bar once the guest has a valid match ticket.

As always the MRSC welcome any feedback on the facility and while it might not always be possible to implement all ideas, we strive to incorporate as many as possible.

There will be lots of activity around Thomond Park this friday, including stiltwalkers and fire jugglers.  Oscar and Mr. Tayto will also be there to meet the young fans. For more information on what the Fan Zone Plaza has to offer check out our event page here. 

The stadium turnstiles will be open from 5.30pm, with all bars inside the ground open at the same time.

We welcome back Derek Moloney who will perform pre-match, as well as the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir.  At half time, Munster fans will be able to congratulate the Munster Women’s team as they are guests of honour at the game and will be on the pitch, talking about their recent interpro win.  Also at half time, it’s a mini rugby double header, with Muskerry RFC taking on Kilrush RFC, and Ballincollig RFC playing Newcastle West.

Match programmes, costing €;4, will be on sale outside and inside the stadium.

The Munster Rugby Stores will be open at the stadium – the East Stand store open from 5pm, and the Mobile unit outside the West Stand from 5.30pm.

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink containers on entering the stadium.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found here.

There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.

Buses
Bus Eireann – Henry Street – Bus 302 running every 20 mins from 18:00, and collecting after the match.

Park and Ride will be in operation from the following locations:
Kilmurry Lodge Hotel @ 5pm
Radisson Blu Hotel @ 5.30pm
Southcourt Hotel, Raheen starting @ 5.45pm

Supporters can pre-book their parking online for the Q-Park at Harvey’s Quay online at www.q-park.ie
There is no parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium.

If you do not already have your match ticket, they are currently on sale from usual outlets, and will be on sale from Thomond Park on Friday from 10am.  Please note that the North and South Terraces will remain closed for this game.
