Mrsc Pre-match Lunch

It had been a long time coming, over 4 years since MRSC were able to hold a prematch lunch in Dolans ahead of a Heineken Cup game. So long that we had forgotten on Committee, just how much a day like that takes out of you. Some got to Dolans before 9.30am for set up. Questions submitted in advance for our MC, Michael Corcoran – initials purely a coincidence and of course Tommy O’Donnell and Paddy Butler who would be put through the wringer. The sold out event proved to be as popular, interesting and humorous as ever. Corcoran lured the lads ever so craftily with his questions and set them up for funny fall, albeit in very good taste and never once putting the lads on the spot with irrelevant and awkward questions. We were delighted to be joined by some friends from Gloucester, who very kindly provided a shirt signed by Mike Tindall for our raffle on the day. We of course welcomed them with open arms but that was where the pleasantries ended until after the game that evening. As always we would like to thank Mick Dolan and his staff for the fantastic welcome and the provision of their facilities free of charge. We hope to host another prematch lunch in the very near future, so keep an eye out, it’s sure to be a fast seller. A special mention to Michael Corcoran who was superb as our MC, Tommy O’Donnell and Paddy Butler who were brilliant guests and always up for some fun. PS. Tommy, Georgia Salpa says hello… .
