Baby Marc’s Feet Touch Hallowed Thomond Turf
8th October 2013 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
At eight weeks old, baby Marc Atkinson, although born in Leinster, travelled to the Munster v Leinster match on Saturday last and got the opportunity to record his feet touching grass and soil for the first time on the hallowed turf of Thomond ! Marc also got to meet Munster players, Cathal Sheridan, Johne Murphy and Dave Foley. His dad, Glenn, was thankful for "all the pre-season emphasis on handling skills" and noted that Johne Murphy was a "natural baby-sitter". Glenn expressed how much the experience meant to him and his loyal Munster supporting family – "three generations of our family now drive down from Co. Kildare for all the home matches and we travel around Europe supporting the boys, so it is lovely to see Munster Rugby taking care of their loyal supporters. Hats off to the MRSC , Munster Rugby, the players and the stewards
