Five Academy Players In Junior World Championship Squad

The Stade de la Rabine in Vannes, on the North West coast of France, will host all of the pool B games with Ireland set to face Australia, Fiji and New Zealand. Five Munster Academy players were named in the squad earlier today, four of which were involved in this year’s Ireland U20s RBS 6 Nations, Sean McCarthy, Ryan Murphy, Rory Scannell, and Darren Sweetnam. Waterford’s Jack O’Donoghue is included in the Ireland U20s squad for the first time after performances at U19 level against England and France in April, and an impressive outing in an U20s challenge game against Scotland earlier this month.
