18th December 2012 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
The MRSC recently held two very successful events, a Junior Christmas Party in Thomond Park Stadium and a Q&A in London prior to Munster’s Heineken Cup clash against Saracens in Watford. JUNIOR CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY On Sunday 9th December 300 Junior members and their parents were greeted on arrival to Thomond Park by Munster’s mascot Oscar. The party was kicked off with the man himself sweeping through the Thomond Suite in his red suit with a big greeting for all the children. A great afternoon was enjoyed by all with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Mario, Dora the Explorer,Fireman Sam, Spongebob, Frosty the Snowman, Clowns, Face Painters and a DJ all on hand to entertain everyone. All those who attended also got the opportunity to meet some of their Munster heroes and have their photo taken. Players who came to meet the junior members included Ian Keatley, BJ Botha, Wian De Preez, Keith Earls, CJ Stander, Paddy Butler, Mike Sherry, Conor Murray, Luke O’Dea, Sean Henry, JJ Hanrahan, Dave Kilcoyne, Tommy O’Donnell, Barry O’Mahony and Cathal Sheridan. A special thanks to Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe, Crescent Shopping Centre, for providing a goodie bag for all 300 children. And a huge thanks to those who helped us on the day and were kept very busy! Thanks to Brendan Leydon, Sinead O
