13th June 2012 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
George Murray is from Bray in Co. Wicklow and now lives in Monaleen Limerick with his wife Lorraine. He was educated at Presentation College Bray and studied Sport Management in Dundrum College. Prior to joining Munster in June 2002 he was a Rugby Development Officer with Leinster. He has AIL winning medals (scrum-half) from his time with Greystones and Shannon and has coaching experience with Clanwilliam and Shannon. He has been Performance Analyst with Ireland U21 (4 years) Ireland A (2 years) and the Six nations squad. His hobbies include golf and six-a-side soccer. We spoke with George and asked him for an inside view on the role of a ‘Performance Analyst’ and how the financial contribution from the MRSC has helped Munster Rugby stay ahead of the game. Over the years the Game has changed in some facets, with rule changes, differing interpretations by referee
