Mrsc Australia Off To A Great Start

The Red Army said ‘G’day" to a new group of Munster supporters when Munster Rugby Supporters Club, Australia Branch held their first meeting on Sunday April 22nd at The Gaelic Club in Sydney. Munster Rugby fans gathered in numbers to hear stories of times past and views of all things present from the two guests of honour on the evening, ex- Munster & Wallabies men, Alan Gaffney & Jim Williams. Thanks to The Gaelic Club who supported the evening, highlights of Munster Rugby successes from the past were shown on the big screen before both men took to the stage to recant all Munster fans gathered with quirky and hilarious tales of times past from their experiences of Munster Rugby. The audience also had the opportunity to Jim and Alan questions. Initiated a number of months ago, the club was set up Down Under by Keith Whelan from Limerick and Gerard Ryan from Waterford . It is hoped that there will be branches of the Supporters Club in many centres throughout Australia. The Gaelic Club will be showing the remainder of Munster’s matches for this season. MRSC Australia would like to set up venues in each area whereby members can meet to watch Munster matches throughout all the states in Australia. A committee will be put in place to oversee these events and to work on the expansion of the club. The club has massive potential and we feel we can be part of Munster Rugby going forward by keeping people in touch with the team. The next meeting of the club will take place at 7pm at The Gaelic Club, Surrey Hills, Sydney on Sunday 3rd June. Filed By GF 240412
