Q&a Evening On The Eve Of The Quarter Final A Great Success
12th April 2012 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
MRSC members got the opportunity to get the inside view from both the Munster and Ulster camps on the eve of the Heineken Cup Quarter Final against Ulster Thanks to Dolan’s Bar & Warehouse for hosting the first ever Q&A Evening to be held on the eve of a Heineken Cup match. The evening was a great success and was enjoyed by all. There were over 200 people in attendance, including many Ulster supporters. The audience had the opportunity to ask questions of the players and coaching staff. Pat Geraghty, Munster Rugby’s Media Manager was compere for the evening. The Q&A panel included current Munster players Niall Ronan and Denis Leamy, Munster Backs Coach Jason Holland and former Ulster centre Ryan Constable, MD of the player management company Cornerflag Management and a member of the BBC Radio NI broadcast team for the game. Denis Leamy and Niall Ronan were asked about their injuries and explained how they are recovering well and are frustrated not to be playing at the moment. Denis underwent hip surgery in January and spends 3/4 days in the gym each week as part of his rehab. Niall is also recovering well following his cruciate ligament injury and is looking forward to his return to the senior squad next season. Ryan Constable, former Ulster Rugby player spoke at length about Ulsters team rotation policy and the Ulster Rugby management vacancy. A highlight of the evening was when Jason Holland was asked; "How did you get here?" The smart answer from the audience was "by Plane!" Jason also spoke about his home in Midleton and how he is enjoying his time here. Many thanks to Heineken who provided a free pint to all in attendance along with spot prizes for the evening.
