Membership Pack Delivery Update

15th September 2011 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club

Membership Pack Delivery Update

We issued an update in last weeks newsletter regarding the delivery of membership packs. We wish to now clarify the situation with regards to the status of all packs and provide an explanation regarding the late delivery of a number of membership packs. Fastway Couriers were contracted to complete the delivery of 9,000 packs which they undertook to do within a period of 3-4 working days. All packs were dispersed to them for delivery during the week commencing 22nd August. This allowed plenty of time for delivery before the first match of the season in Musgrave Park on 3rd September. Although the majority of packs were delivered within the first week, it was brought to our attention by a number of members that they had not received their pack within the expected time. Fastway did not inform us of any difficulties they were experiencing in completing the deliveries. As of today, Thursday 15th September, we have demanded and received most of the remaining 200 undelivered packs back to our dispatch company in Kildare. We will now dispatch these packs to members ourselves directly. We are awaiting the final delivery of packs back today. The process to complete the fulfillment of 10,000 membership packs to include all season tickets is one that takes a number of months and is set out to exact timelines by us early in the year. This process was implemented and completed exactly as planned and on time. Our dispatch company CJ Browne & Sons Ltd had packed and transferred the packs to Fastway on time and in full by the due date also. We are therefore hugely disappointed to be let down in such a manner by a third party. We are moreso disappointed that this has effected our customer service to our members and for this we wish to apologise to any member effected. We offered Fastway Couriers the opportunity to provide us with a written statement explaining their failure to complete their obligation to us but they have failed to supply us with an adequate explanation to date.
