Musgrave Park Plans For The New Stand
23rd February 2011 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
Munster Rugby intend to apply for planning permission this week to erect a 4,000 seat temporary stand in Musgrave Park for the 2011-12 season. The temporary stand will replace the existing stand and terrace on the west side of the ground. It will accommodate approximately 2,600 covered seats and 1,400 uncovered seats with a resultant increase in current total ground capacity of 1,500, from 8,500 to 10,000. The project is self-financing and is an interim option while funding is obtained for the state-of-the-art 6,500 capacity stand for which planning permission has already been granted.
