Membership Renewals – Initial Information

Our IT Solutions provider, Magico Software, are in the process of finalising matters for renewals for 2010/11. Full details of dates and process will be advised nearer commencement of renewals but we wish to communicate as much information as possible as early as possible to members TIMING OF RENEWAL Dates cannot yet be confirmed until testing is further advanced but it is expected that renewals will commence in early April. The first week of renewals will be for members with season tickets in 2009/10 who wish to retain all or part of their ticket purchases – Heineken, Magners Thomond and/or Magners Musgrave For those members wishing to purchase the exact same tickets for 2010/11 as they had for 2009/10, they will be able to renew in the first week. For those members who wish to keep some of their existing tickets and change/not renew other of their existing tickets (e.g. keep stand ticket in Thomond but change to terrace in Musgrave), they will have the option to reserve the tickets they wish to keep. They will then have some days at the start of the second week to renew, purchase the reserved seat(s) and purchase other tickets. In the second week, members from 2009/10 without season tickets may renew with or without season tickets; members who have not kept existing seats can renew; and, new associate members can join. RETAINING EXISTING SEAT Last season members had the opportunity to retain all or none of the tickets that they had purchased from the previous season – Heineken pool, Magners Thomond, Magners Musgrave. This renewal period members will be able to renew any of their existing seats. They could renew Thomond Magners and change Heineken/Musgrave Magners if they so wish. RENEWALS BROUGHT FORWARD TO APRIL Similar to other clubs, both in rugby and other codes, we have brought the renewal period back to April to ensure delivery of packs in appropriate time. We hope to have membership packs delivered prior to pre-season friendlies. Our anticipated programme is:

  • Renewals and new members join – up to end of April
  • Associate members with lowest numbers offered opportunity to upgrade to full membership – up to mid May
  • Quality checks and also separating information into up to forty databases (combined, single venue, with child ticket, with double ticket, with Heineken, etc) so that season tickets are printed in appropriate order -up to end May
  • Printing and receiving membership cards and Heineken Cup pool tickets – processing and printing of season tickets, pool tickets and Membership cards for all Munster Rugby and Supporters Club – 6/7 weeks so likely return in mid July
  • Packing of membership packs – 2/3 weeks upto early August
  • Post should then result in receipt by members in mid August MEMBERSHIP FEES Membership renewal costs have been consistent since 2004 other than the Giant Draw contribution which was introduced in 2007. It had been intended to increase membership by
