Q & A In Limerick
24th February 2010 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
Members turned up in force at last nights Q&A in Thomond Park Stadium despite heavy rain and sprinklings of snow! Marcus Horan,Tommy O’Donnell, Jean De Villiers and Academy Manager, Ian Sherwin, answered all the questions on the night. When Pat Geraghty asked "who would you not like to share a room with?" Marcus Horan was quick to reply "Quinny"! The players were also questioned if they have any habits/superstitions for match day preparation. Both Jean De Villiers and Marcus Horan, simply replied "no". However, Tommy O’ Donnell informed us that he had to check that his "shoes, socks, boots, shorts and top" were in order. Jean De Villiers spoke about his departure from Munster. It was evident that Jean thoroughly enjoyed his time spent with the Munster squad and was proud to have worn the Munster jersey. He stated that he learned alot while he was here and that he "would bring his experience with him". Jean was undoubtedly impressed by the Munster supporters, he commented that "the supporters are as much part of the team as any of us". During the break, Domino’s Pizza Limerick kindly delivered complimentary pizzas to the venue.Needless to mention, the pizzas were consumed without delay! Ian Sherwin,Munster Rugby Academy Manager, and Pat Geraghty, Munster Rugby Media Manager(pictured to the right) enjoyed the feast. Before the evening came to a close it was noted that Jean De Villiers would be turning 29 the following day.The supporters sang "Happy Birthday" and Ellen Fitsmaurice from the MUnster Rugby Supporters Club Choir presented him with a birthday cake. All members had the opportunity to take photos with the players and get autographs. A great night was had by all! Filed By Ciara Meany 24/02/2010
