DATES – provisionally The programming of our renewals is in its final stages and we hope (all going well) that it will be tested next week and completed by 29 May. Subject to testing going to plan, the following timetable of renewals is anticipated. This may change and will be confirmed to members prior to renewal date. Tuesday 2nd June to Monday 8th June All existing full and associate members who wish to renew and purchase the exact same tickets that they had for 2008/9 in 2009/10 can renew in this period.[Your Season Ticket card for last season, would have made reference to blocks WA, WB, WC, WD etc etc…- The block reference has subsequently changed to Section 210, 211, 212, 213, 214 etc etc. Members are being offereed the oppurtunity to renew their exact same seat as last year, but the block references have been changed to section numbers.] Tuesday 9th June All full members who have not previously done so, can renew and select season tickets and Heineken Cup tickets from what remains available on a first come, first served basis Wednesday 10th June All associate members can renew and select season tickets from what remains available on a first come, first served basis Thursday 11th June – New associate members may join and select season tickets from what remains available on a first come, first served basis In response to queries received by Supporters Club Office, to clarify, the first week of renewals is for those members who wish to renew their membership with the same tickets as last season [Heineken & Magners; or, Magners League only} It is not possible to retain Heineken tickets and change Magners League – or vice vesa. It is not possible to retain Musgrave Magners and change Thomond – or vice versa. If you wish to change your ticket allocation in any way, you should wait until the second week and change all. July 6th – Closing Date For All NUMBER OF FULL MEMBERS The Supporters Club have an agreement that should people who had Heineken/Magners season tickets for 2008/9 decide not to renew their entitlement, then such tickets would be offered to the Supporters Club. We are advised by Munster Rugby Ticket Office that all other parties have renewed their full entitlement of tickets and so there is no additional Heineken Cup tickets available to the Supporters Club. Accordingly, the number of Heineken Cup tickets available to the Supporters Club remains at 3,000 and so this remains the limit for full membership. UPGRADES FROM ASSOCIATE TO FULL MEMBERSHIP This is scheduled to hopefully happen between July 7th and 14th. The numbers to be offered upgrade will be dependant upon the number of full members who do not renew Subject to testing, we hope to request those associate members with the lowest membership number to advise at time of renewal if they wish to be offered full membership this season if available. We hope that this will speed up the Upgrade process to allow all details to be issued for membership cards in sufficient time. PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES We understand that Munster have three pre-season friendlies planned in August, one away (Leicester on 28/8)and two in Musgrave Park 14th August v Sale Sharks 21st August v London Irish We are currently finalising matters regarding entry to these matches but hope to be able to confirm that: – All season ticket holders can avail of 20% discount on a match ticket for both pre-season friendlies – Combined season ticket holders can avail of free entry to one pre-season friendly of their choice TICKET PRICES We are advised that the cost of match tickets and season tickets will remain unchanged from last season. Magico, our IT Solutions provider, are currently testing our renewals system but the hope is that: All existing season ticket holders can avail of either – 20% discount on face value subject to immediate payment, or – 15% discount on face value of tickets with payment deferred over 3 monthly payments (time of renewal, August 3rd and September 3rd) All new season ticket holders can avail of either: – 15% discount on face value subject to immediate payment, or – 10% discount on face value of tickets with payment deferred over 3 monthly payments(time of renewal, August 3rd and September 3rd) To defer payment, credit card will need to have an expiry date of 09/09 or later. Failure of credit card to honour second or third payment will result in tickets being cancelled and membership lapsing. GIANT DRAW Membership costs remain at 30 euro for associate member and 80 euro for full member. This will also include one entry to the Giant Draw. The prizes for the Giant Draw are currently being finalised. ADMISSION BY SEASON TICKET/PAPER TICKET There were instances during the past season when members (or people with their season ticket) sat in the seat allocated to them for Magners League matches rather than the seat allocated for Heineken Cup matches and this caused issue when asked to move to correct seat. There have also been delays at Magners League matches at stiles when people tried to enter through gate designeated for Heineken Cup match and vice versa. Tickematser also have some issues with the extent of information stored on the season ticket card. Munster Rugby Ticket Office has therefore decided that your membership card will also act as your season ticket for Magners league games. However, full members purchasing Heineken Cup tickets will receive paper tickets for the Heineken Cup pool matches as a book of three with their membership pack. BRANCHES As we hope you are aware, there are Branches of the Supporters Club in Brussels, Dublin and USA. We hope to have set up with our renewals an option for all members to select if they wish to receive emails from any or all of the Branches regarding activities which they may be planning in their area. We hope that this will enable the Branches to grow even stronger. FURTHER CONFIRMATION As advised, everything above is subject to final testing but we hope that final confirmed dates, costs and benefits will be available on this webiste next week.
