Mrsc Bar Facility Opening

As advised in previous news items, we are delighted that the new Supporters Club bar at Thomond Park stadium will be opened for members for the match this Friday against Sale Sharks. We have already received a number of queries from members regarding the facility. OWNERSHIP The bar is located within the West Stand of Thomond Park Stadium. The MRSC have a licence with Thomond Park to use the bar facility on match days and some other days during the season. Accordingly, the property is owned by Thomond Park. WHERE / ACCESS The MRSC bar is located over the UL Bohs bar in the West Stand. Access is through Entrance 18 which is a double door just before the entrance to UL Bohs bar. There should be signposting in place prior to the match this Friday. OPENING TIMES The MRSC bar will be open this Friday from 5.30pm to 11.00pm WHO CAN ENTER Only members who have a valid match ticket are permitted to access the bar on Match Days. This is in accordance with the conditions included in the Stadium License. This condition applies to all stadium bars including The Dugout Bar. In conjunction with the Thomond Park Stadium Company, we are hopeful in reviewing the License Agreement, that for future matches will be able to facilitate members, without a match ticket, access to the bar to view matches. Members will be notified on this as soon as possible GOING FROM BAR TO POSITION IN GROUND All members with tickets for the game will need to exit the bar and the West Stand, through the door next to UL Bohs bar (through which they entered) and then enter the Stadium through the turnstile stated on their ticket. Thomond Park Stadium Company have asked that all members, in the bar, with a match ticket, proceed to their position before 7.30pm. MEMBERS WITH MOBILITY ISSUES Those members, who have mobility issues, need to present themselves at either end of the West Stand, to gain access, to the bar, through the lifts at either end. Those members with mobility issues, and who have no match ticket, need to present themselves at the ground by 6.15pm, because of Health & Safety issues. BAR OPERATIONS As with all other bars within the stadium, it will be operated by Masterchefs, who have the bar franchise for the stadium. We hope to include promotional deals with various providers to the benefit of members. We will announce these as they are held. We are assured by Masterchefs that they will have sufficient numbers of staff on the bar before and after the game to facilitate all in attendance. Please note that there will be no catering facility in the bar for this game. THANKS & REQUEST FOR PATIENCE We would like to thank the Irish Examiner for kindly presenting us with photographs to decorate the walls of the MRSC Bar. We would also like to thank Ger Mallon for donating pictures for the facility. We hope to have further items of memorabilia put up over time. Together with Thomond Park Stadium and Masterchefs, we have tried to cater for all possible issues that may arise with the bar. As Friday will be the first opening of the MRSC Bar and as this will be a very busy night, we would ask for members
