Membership Status And Renewals

22nd July 2008 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club

Membership Status And Renewals

There have been a number of enquiries regarding the renewals, upgrading of members and positions on current associate membership list. Jennifer and her team in the Supporters Club office have prepared the following information following the renewal process. Associate members upto 5,134 were offered upgrade to full membership. I am slightly above this. If not all of these members avail of upgrade, will more be offered upgrade this season? There will be no more upgrades offered to associate members this season. One thousand associate members (from membership numbers 3,218 to 4,844) were offered upgrade to full membership when they renewed. A further 145 members (from 4,845 to 5,134) were offered full membership after the renewal process. Of the final upgrade allocation, 24 did not upgrade and remained as associate members. As the total number of full members is now 3,023, it was decided to limit the opportunity to upgrade at membership number 5,134. How can there be 3,023 full members with only 3,000 tickets allocated to Supporters Club for home games at Thomond Park? Of the 3,023 full members, 55 selected not to purchase tickets at Thomond Park for Heineken Cup matches. There could be a problem if all members renew next season, if all renewing full members select to purchase the Heineken Cup tickets, and if there is no increased allocation to the Supporters Club. However, based upon previous non-renewals, a figure of 3,023 members should be accommodated next season. What will happen the 32 tickets for the Heineken Cup home pool games that were not purchased by Full Members? 55 full members did not purchase Heineken Cup home pool tickets. The number of full members is 3,023
