Champagne Moments 20 Mar

Again, we would like to thank Shaun Payne for taking time to answer some questions from Supporters. What did you think of this year’s Six Nations? Disappointing obviously from an Irish point of view. But it was good to see Paul o’Connellback after injury and good also Tony Buckley get some game time and also good to see the youngsters like Rob Kearney and Luke Fitzgerald coming through. And what player’s stood out for you? I thought Donncha O’Callaghan had a good tournament and as I said young Keareny looks a very good prospect. With Ulster showing improved form what are your opinions on Saturday’s match? Games against Ulster are always tough and difficult and I wouldn’t expect this one to be any better, They have a new coach and they have put together a few good results so they’re building momentum. This one will be no different than other Munster Ulster games. It will be tough and we’ll need to be at our very best to get anything out of it How are Denis Leamy and David Wallace after their knocks on Saturday? I wouldn’t really be the best person to ask about that. Have you seen the progress at Thomond Park it is looking spectacular are the squad following progress there? Its Yes it certainly looks fiarly spectacular and that justnow at the near completed stage. I think its goin to be a fabulous stadium and yes the boys are keeping an eye on progress Questions posed by Tony Cusack The previous Champagne Moments can be viewed HERE Filed by Darren Desmond 20 March 2008
