MESSAGE TO FULL MEMBERS OF MUNSTER RUGBY SUPPORTERS CLUB As you may be aware, the capacity of Thomond Park has been reduced for all three matches this season relative to capacity at matches in past seasons. With returns from ASM Clermont-Auvergne and from Llanelli Scarlets, Munster Rugby were able to satisfy the requirements of all ticket recipient groups for tickets. The returns from Clermont were even large enough to allow a lottery among Associate Members. However, there are no returns from London Wasps and so all ticket recipient groupings are facing a reduction of 8% in their allocation. This applies to all groupings – team, Branch Committees, clubs, Supporters Club, etc. The procedures for reduction in allocation will be as advised prior to renewal by means of a lottery: HERE The lottery will be supervised similar to the procedures adopted for our Giant Draw. If you are unable to attend the match, we will be delighted to refund the cost of your ticket. This in turn will reduce the number of members that may be disappointed in losing out in the lottery. If you are in this category, please contact me at the above email address on or before 12.30 p.m. on Monday 7th January. On Monday afternoon, – we will then assess the number of tickets that we are short (maximum 160 but may be less if members advise that they wish to be refunded) – we will then conduct a lottery among members as to who will be allocated tickets for the match – we will advise members by email as to who was successful and a separate email as to who was not successful (no later than Tuesday lunchtime) – for those members who share emails, to avoid any confusion, we will put a list of the unsuccessful membership numbers on our website – Tickets will commence packing and posting on Tuesday – refunds will be issued within 2 weeks – On Tuesday/Wednesday, we will advise of collection times The method of delivery of a ticket will be as exists on our database at lunchtime on Monday 7th January. If you would like to change your preference from post to collection (or vice versa), please do so before Monday morning. Members are reminded that tickets that are nor delivered in time for the match will not be reprinted so if you have any concerns regarding the postal service, you may want to selcet collection.
