Message From Tony Copsey To Wasps Supporters
2nd November 2007 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
The following is an email issued by Tony Copsey, Chief Executive of London Wasps to Wasps with regard to the upcoming match in Coventry. It includes details of entertainment lines up for matchday Dear Supporter With less than a week to go until London Wasps kick off our defence of the Heineken Cup, the sense of anticipation around the club is starting to grow. It’s been great to have all our World Cup stars back at the training ground this week, and of course Sunday’s game against Gloucester will be our first opportunity of the season to see some Wasps favourites back in black. But whilst the likes of Lawrence Dallaglio, Paul Sackey and Raphael Ibanez are focussing on this weekend, most of us in the office have been putting the finishing touches to our plans for next weekend, when we take our Heineken Cup opener to the Ricoh Stadium. As well as promising to be an absolute corker of a match, we have been working hard to ensure we can offer supporters and their families a wonderful day out, with the game itself being the centrepiece. We have transformed the Ricoh Arena’s exhibition hall, the Jaguar Hall into our main entertainment centre for supporters before and after the match. In conjunction with local radio station Touch FM, we are laying on a full day’s entertainment before and after the game. This will include live bands on stage and all pre-match build up showing on a big screen inside the hall that will include player interviews and highlights of Wasps previous Heineken Cup exploits. A gourmet food court, serving top quality burgers, sausages and deli food, combined with several bars should ensure everyone is well fed and watered, and for the kids a special area providing fun in a safe environment will also be on offer. For those who like their fresh air, we will be having a barbecue outside the main Jaguar Hall, and street entertainers will keep you amused around the stadium as you make you way to you seats. The fantastic news is that tickets for the game are still available. Simply call Ticketmaster on 0870 543 444 or buy on line at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
