International Tickets – Croke Park

The Supporters Club do not have an entitlement to international match tickets from Munster Rugby and accordingly, membership of the club does not involve any promise or entitlement to international match tickets. We were very pleased to receive from Munster Rugby some tickets for the autumn internationals which were sold to our members. We were very delighted to receive from Munster Rugby a small quantity of tickets for the upcoming 6 nations internationals at Croke Park. The entry to the lottery for these tickets was very very high. There were approx 3,200 entries for the 32 pairs of tickets for the French match and over 4,000 entries for the 32 pairs of tickets for the English match. All members who entered the lottery for the French tickets received details of whether their application was successful on Monday 5th February. Those who were successful in the lottery for the English game were advised by email on 7th February and those who were unsuccessful were advised on 8th February. We were very glad that the Munster Ticket Account system allows for lottery draws such as what happened for these tickets as such a system was not possible in previous years and would have been very time consuming and cumbersome to do otherwise. In the last issue of Red Alert, we outlined how such lotteries are conducted and can assure members that it is done automatically by the Ticket Account system. The ticket draw was conducted by the Ticket Account system and the Supporters Club was advised of the winners who were selected at complete random and Jennifer has contacted the winners.
