Mrsc Request For Mascot Volunteer Help

Its coming close to the big kick off, and we need your help on Magner League and Heineken Cup matchdays. We are requesting a couple of volunteers in Limerick and in Cork to help make a child’s day as they run out with the Munster Team. As you are aware each and every match day Munster have a mascot run out with them onto the field, what we are looking for is help with the following.

Its coming close to the big kick off, and we need your help on Magner League and Heineken Cup matchdays. We are requesting a couple of volunteers in Limerick and in Cork to help make a child’s day as they run out with the Munster Team. As you are aware each and every match day Munster have a mascot run out with them onto the field, what we are looking for is help with the following.

  • Make contact with the family a few days before the match to introduce yourself
  • Meet the family outside the gates approx 45mins-1 hour before kick off
  • Mascot helper will have their match tickets, complimentary programmes (2) and Munster jersey for mascot.
  • Bring family into the grounds and take to agreed location- close to the entrance of the pitch.
  • Point out any activity of interest taking place inside the grounds (ie free merchandise etc)
  • When Munster team are on the pitch warming up, mascot to be taken to Munster dressing room and introduced to Munster staff who will then take over.
  • Mascot helper duties complete.
  • Please note that a parent is to accompany the mascot at all times

    If you think you could give up and hour of your time before each game, please mail us at the following address: supporterspro@munsterrugby.ie We are ideally looking for 2 volunteers in both Cork and Limerick, but please feel free to mail as, we run several Junior Events throughout the year, where we always need volunteers to help us out. We would like to take this oppurtunity to thank member, Trish Brewitt, who has been so helpful with this task for the past 2 years, where no job was too big for her on the day.
