Presentation To Alan Gaffney

The Munster Rugby Supporters Club made a unique presentation to Alan Gaffney at the recent farewell party held in the Heineken Hospitality suite in Cork. Alan is the ultimate gentleman, who always made time to talk to the Supporters. The club felt they could not let the occasion pass, without showing Alan our appreciation for his time with Munster. The club presented Alan who is a prolific book reader, with a specially commissioned bookcase, which was hand made from a variety of natural Irish Timbers. The handles of the unit formed a rugby ball, which was specially engraved to mark the occasion. We hope this will constantly remind Alan of his time in Ireland an especially with the Munster. Lorraine assured us that it would take pride of place in their home back in Australia. The beautiful unit, was manufactured by Kingsriver Community, Ennisnag, Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny.
