Munster V All Blacks Raffle In Aid Of The Stuart Mangan Appeal – One Day To Go
3rd November 2008 By Munster Rugby Supporters Club
The MRSC Committee are deeply humbled by the response so far by all members who have purchased tickets for this draw. We would like to remind members that this draw CLOSES TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY 12th November @ Midnight. The MRSC are delighted to be in a position to offer members the chance of winning some fantastic prizes for the Munster v All Blacks game, and also help a very worthwhile cause. On Saturday April 5th 2008, a simple tackle in a club rugby game in London left Stuart Mangan, a graduate of Rockwell College and UCC aged just 24, with a devastating spinal injury. Sadly this sporting accident has left Stuart totally paralyzed from the neck down. He is currently receiving world-class medical attention in the Spinal Injury Unit of the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital at Stanmore, North London. When Stuart leaves hospital he will require 24-hour care for the rest of his life which is expected to run into the millions of pounds in costs. A fundraising campaign- the Stuart Mangan Appeal – has been launched.
